Part 4 Final Exam!

Over the past two years being an intern has had its ups and downs. Sometimes I'm certain that I want to be a teacher because I love being able to talk to the children and help them with their struggles. I know I want to do something with kids but I'm not sure if teaching is for me. What i've learned about myself is that i'm not very good at getting in front of a classroom and being confident enough to teach children, I often doubt my self and get nervous. But when I have one on one time with them I can easily talk to them with confidence. I often have thoughts of being a counselor because I feel like I would be better at that then teaching. Ready set teach has been an amazing experience and really made me realize that counseling is probably what I want to do instead of teaching.

My feelings as I departed from my class was definitely bitter sweet. I know I will miss them dearly but i'm glad we made it through the year. I have gotten so close to all my students this year and it was extremely tear jerking. I will remember them forever.

Part 1- Final Exam

Measurement. The student uses standard tools to estimate and measure time and temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit). The student is expected to:
(A) read a thermometer to gather data;
(B) read and write times shown on analog and digital clocks using five-minute increments; and

(C) describe activities that take approximately one second, one minute, and one hour.

  • Here is a game called Thermometer Quiz! This game is very helpful in learning how to read a thermometer. It tells you certain temperatures and requires you to find where the temperature is on the thermometer.
  • For time here is a game called Math Clocks and Time! For this game the student is quizzed on time. It asks them to find different times. This game will definitely help them master time telling.
  • After the students have played these games they will definitely find it easier to tell time and read temperature.
